Tracing Ireland's Population

Tracing Ireland's Population (TIP) identifies COVID-19 clusters in local communities. Developed by Limerick brothers Dr Paul Byrnes and Patrick Byrnes, TIP is a manual contact tracing app that gives the Irish public control.
TIP identifies and notifies known close contacts of individuals whom are experiencing strong COVID-19 symptoms. By avoiding the use of bluetooth and geolocational technologies, TIP offers a transparent contact tracing process.

PathCheck Foundation

PathCheck was founded in February, 2020, at MIT by a passionate community of people and organizations to contain the spread of COVID-19 and help revitalize economies without sacrificing personal privacy. We’ve been pioneers in digital contact tracing and exposure notification technology. Their original technology was based on the MIT Private Kit: Safe Paths.

COVID buzzer

The simple solution uses UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology to keep a safe distance between each other. Everyone in the office, factory or elsewhere where many people gather, wears a buzzer. As soon as the buzzer meets another buzzer within a radius of 1.5 meters, a warning signal follows. The buzzer is completely anonymous, so there are no privacy issues involved.

Populus Street Manager

Populus Street Manager helps city departments of transportation identify and communicate new street policies, including street closures due to emergencies, construction, special events, or temporary COVID shared street policies. Street Manager can also be used alongside Populus’ mobility management solutions which help city transportation authorities securely receive and analyse data from mobility fleets, such as shared scooters, mopeds, and cars, to support data-driven transportation policy and planning.

3D-printed isolation wards

In the battle against the coronavirus, timely isolation has become the top priority for epidemic prevention and control. Adequate isolation wards can not only concentrate and isolate patients diagnosed with infection and suspected patients, effectively prevent the spread of the epidemic, but also provide patients with a more professional and comfortable treatment environment, which will help their early recovery.

Patchwork Health platform

A group of London hospitals have banded together to create the London COVID-19 Digital Staff Bank: a centralised cloud-based platform for staff recruitment. The 14 hospitals are working together in conjunction with Patchwork Health and Reed Talent Solutions to ensure that temporary staffing contracts are filled appropriately and swiftly during the COVID-19 emergency.

Monitoring Hospital Waiting Times

All across the world, hospitals have been inundated with COVID patients, pushing aside other patients or treatments deemed nonessential, and increasing wait times for people that need medical attention for other reasons. To make matters worse, some medical facilities have been forced to close, limiting the options available and further exacerbating wait times.
