Tengah - the city of the future

Tengah will be Singapore’s first smart and sustainable town, with green features and smart technologies.

Giant solar-powered air conditioners, vacuum garbage collection, subterranean roads for electric vehicles, urban farms and green architecture. Put them all together and you have Tengah, Singapore’s most ambitious project yet to build the city of the future.

Maria Valeria Bike

Mária Valéria Bike is a bicycle-sharing system across two countries existing on Esztergom and Sturovo. There are 14 collection stations in the two cities, with a total of 60 traditional and 45 electric bicycles available.

The system is compatible with the pioneer Esztergom Bicycle (ebi) bicycles, established in 2013. The two systems consist a total of 20 stations and 165 bicycles.

Glasgow's Low Emission Zone

Scotland's first ever Low Emission Zone (LEZ) came into effect in Glasgow city centre on 31 December 2018.

A Low Emission Zone is an area where a person may not drive a vehicle which does not meet a specified emission standard. LEZs are intended to reduce pollution levels and improve air quality in areas where standards are not being met.

Iowa data bike

The Iowa Data Bike is a proof-of-concept initiative by the Des Moines Area MPO in partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. Using an app that senses the roughness of pavement, the Data Bike will generate data scoring the condition of trails. The Data Bike will also collect 360-degree imagery along trails for Google Street View.

Wecyclers recycling

Wecyclers is a for-profit social enterprise that promotes environmental sustainability, socioeconomic development, and community health by providing convenient recycling services in densely populated urban neighborhoods. They give households a chance to generate value from their waste and provide a reliable supply of raw material to the local recycling industry.

GuraRide

GuraRide is a public bike-share (PBS) transport system company commited to the sustainability of Micro-Mobility in Africa. Tehir goal is the migration of transportation using innovating technology from fossil fuel-based to other renewable low carbon transport options. GuraRide brings the benefits of vibrants and unique technological changes taking over the transport industries across the world. They combine smart bikes, electric scooters and electric bikes sharing in a single app to enable our users choose their ride preference.

Oakland Slow Streets

The City of Oakland Slow Streets Program is intended to support safe physical activity by creating more space for physical distancing for all Oaklanders by declaring that all Slow Streets with and without soft closure barriers are Closed to Through Traffic so that people can more comfortably use these low-traffic streets for physically distant walking, wheelchair rolling, jogging, and biking all across the City.

Strade Aperte - Open Streets

Milan’s Strade Aperte (Open Streets) initiative seeks to rethink mobility and public spaces to ensure a more sustainable and livable city. Strade Aperte components represent Milan’s ongoing mobility strategy, reflect the impact of COVID-19 and include physical distancing requirements. The city has announced that 35km (22 miles) of streets will be transformed over the summer, with a rapid, experimental citywide expansion of cycling and walking space to protect residents as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Populus Street Manager

Populus Street Manager helps city departments of transportation identify and communicate new street policies, including street closures due to emergencies, construction, special events, or temporary COVID shared street policies. Street Manager can also be used alongside Populus’ mobility management solutions which help city transportation authorities securely receive and analyse data from mobility fleets, such as shared scooters, mopeds, and cars, to support data-driven transportation policy and planning.
