Bright Green Forssa Region

The town of Forssa is in the middle of the Finnish agricultural landscape, located within a triangle formed by the three largest cities in Finland, and with good transportation connections. The largest national research institute for agriculture and bioeconomy is also located in the Forssa region.

Szatyor Bolt and Association

Szatyorbolt is a new age social/community enterprenourship that has a business part operating  based on eco-conscious values and offering shopping alternatives for those who care about environment, ther health and the community. It is a choice of making as less environmental impact as possible and also supporting small scale farming.
Other part is a civil organization, Szatyor Association that provides workshops, trainings about conscious consumption and lifestyle. Also organizes farmers' visits for better understanding of how our food in the countryside produced.

Debrecen Szatyor Community

The Szatyor Debrecen is a community-based initiative, which aim is to promote local food which comes from organic and gentle production.
The Debrecen Szatyor Community was launched in the summer of 2012, it was the first time for producers and buyers to meet who not only realized that it would be good to create this special market here after the Budapest Satyor, but were ready to do so! Since then, more and more people have joined the initiative, and by now the community consists of approx. 20 farmers and more than 300 families.

Local Food Community of Nyíregyháza

The Local Food Community of Nyíregyháza is a non-governmental initiative working to strengthen and even revitalize the local economy. They welcome real local produce producers as well as customers who are looking to consume with sustainability in mind. They believe that increasing the consumption of local products contributes to strengthen  the local economy and the creation of real jobs. Every remaining penny sooner or later returns, and the local economy is enriched by the community.
 

The Climate Equity Toolkit

The Climate Equity Toolkit is a top-down overview of the effects of climate change in Colorado at the county level. Each topic covered is analyzed with overlaying data on climate exposure, sensitivity to change and adaptive capacity, as it relates to sectors such as agriculture, water, food, national security, transportation, outdoor recreation and more. This educational data visualization tool includes place-based knowledge focused on how climate change affects the most vulnerable communities across Colorado.

Nagypáli, the eco-conscious village

Nagypáli's solar energy park was established in May 2014, thanks to the cooperation of the Intelligent Energy Community Nonprofit Ltd.  and the municipality of the village.
The Community Purpose Solar Park is located on an undeveloped inner-city site provided by the municipality. It aims to partially meet the electricity needs of local governments, businesses, and civil and private individuals, contributing to their energy independence plans. In addition to the Solar Park, the municipality also implemented LED technology lighting and bought a biogas-powered bus.

Climate+ program

Studies indicate that approximately half of Americans believe that climate change will not affect them personally, or perceive it as a distant problem. Acting on climate change and creating policies and programs to counteract it becomes difficulty if it is not perceived as a current problem. Climate+ is a program designed to shift the perception on climate change. The program prioritizes what matters the most in people’s lives. Climate+ addresses topics ranging from health, water, transportation, food, national security, housing and more. 

eGo CarShare

eGo CarShare’s mission is to empower our community to live a car-free lifestyle and have a positive impact on our health, wealth, and shared environment. They aim to make Colorado a “Cooler”, healthier and more socially equitable place to live. eGo CarShare exist to provide carsharing as a service, not a business. The company  keep their's margins as low as possible. 

Denver Urban Gardens

Denver Urban Gardens knows that in order to make lasting change, community needs to drive it. That’s why every one of our urban gardens and farms have been started and led by local residents. They currently have over 180 gardens in six counties in the Metro Denver Area. DUG gardeners grow food, but more than that, they grow community. They put down deep roots, providing resources, training, and support needed to establish enduring gardens and farms that become valuable assets to neighborhoods.
