APKAPPA - Smart City Platform

Smart City Platform is a technological platform, open and integrated with any service delivered to the territory. Smart City Platform condenses in a single, integrated proposal the entire technological power of the Maggioli Group: smart lighting, Internet of Things, cloud computing, smart metering, smart video surveillance and security, interoperable backoffice software solutions, mobile APPs.

Smart waste collection

Sensoneo sensors are installed in approximately ten cities and towns in the Czech Republic. Sensoneo has monitored glass, plastic and paper waste in underground bins in Prague II for over a year. As part of a twelve month pilot project, 420 sensors will be installed into waste containers (e.g. glass, plastics and other types of recyclable waste). The real technology benefits will be subsequently evaluated and a decision will be made on whether to expand or modify the project.

Road Zipper

The Road Zipper System is designed to create a positive traffic barrier between opposing lanes of traffic and between motorists and construction work areas.
The Barrier Transfer Machine (BTM) laterally transfers the barrier wall, one lane or more, at speeds of up to 10 mph (15 km/h).  This allows the contractor to quickly reconfigure the roadway to meet changing traffic demands and at the same time expedite construction.

Unmanned restaurant

The company collaborated with Koubei, a food and dining service operated by e-commerce powerhouse Alibaba, to launch its first unmanned restaurant, where customers can order and take meals on their own.
Without waiting in line, customers can order meals through self-service machines or by scanning a quick response code on a table with their smart phones, and take their meals from cupboards at the restaurant.
The restaurant has a 24-hour service, along with dish recommendations for customers based on big data provided by Koubei.

Oslo Airport City

Oslo Airport City will complement, reinforce and create synergies between the value adding establishments that already exist in the area, and be the driving force and engine to build a new city directly connected to OSL – Norway’s largest and Scandinavia’s second largest airport.

LUTZ Pathfinder Project

The Transport Systems Catapult was responsible for putting a self-driving vehicle on UK public streets for the first time. The demonstration of a UK developed autonomous driving system marked the conclusion of the LUTZ Pathfinder Project, which began developing autonomous technology in 2014.

Environment Control Centre

The system works by sending data received from GPS satellites and mounted sensors on the vehicles to the center through GSM/GPRS; monitoring, controlling/auditing and management are made according to transiently updated map. By knowing all these data, the following problems can be solved:
Risk reduction of traffic accidents by controlling speed and route violations,
Prevention environment pollution,
Monitorization and management of waste logistics,

Habidatum

Habidatum is an international software and urban analytics company serving as a gateway between big data carriers and urban planners. Habidatum Chronotope platform generates insights from live location data and is widely used among enterprises and researchers to understand and manage dynamic urban environment.

CityTech

City Tech transforms cities into testbeds for new ideas. With partners and people, they remake essential services and infrastructure, from skills to skyscrapers. They then prepare these solutions for other cities, thus increasing the world’s odds of solving big, urban problems. They are currently easing subway congestion during large events; creating a digital map of Chicago’s underground; and launching a digital directory of public health services in Chicago.
