Every year, the Baptist Relief Service announces the Shoebox Campaign, which aims to make Christmas brighter for children in need by wrapping gifts in shoeboxes.
A guide to making the parcels is available on the website to help you choose, wrap and orientate your gifts. The boxes can be dropped off at designated collection points in several locations across the country. The gifts will be distributed to people in foster care, people living in extreme poverty and children in difficult circumstances.
The website also offers online donation options, such as donating money, buying a gift voucher, making a shoebox online or donating a children's book.
The pandemic has led to record online donations and contactless virtual shoebox purchases in 2020.
