Amsterdam Smart City (ASC) is the innovation platform of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area which is constantly challenging businesses, residents, the municipality and knowledge institutions to test innovative ideas & solutions for urban issues. This contributes to the liveability of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, promotes sustainable economic growth and helps develop new markets. ASC believes in a liveable city where people can live and work pleasantly. We are active in six different themes in which we bring together different organisations to start innovative projects together. Amsterdam Smart City has the ambition to start the largest smart city innovation platform in Amsterdam to create an overview of what is happening in Amsterdam on these themes. This will help us to connect the right people to accelerate startup of projects in the city to tackle the challenges our city is facing By challenging parties to submit and execute innovative solutions to urban issues, ASC connects the right stakeholders and accelerates this progress. This advances the development of new markets and profits for innovative solutions. Where possible, these solutions are replicated elsewhere in the city. The Amsterdam Smart City team exists of a core team surrounded by representatives from its key partners. Every two weeks we come together to discuss the latest concepts, questions and calls for Innovation.
