Helsinki Street Lab is a blog about smart pilots and user interfaces linked to wayfinding, digital screens, and urban apps in Helsinki and around the world. The content is published and updated by Forum Virium Helsinki, an innovation unit within the Helsinki City organization. We play a key role in implementing Helsinki’s Smart and Open City strategy, by developing building blocks for smart and open cities of the future. The City of Helsinki and Forum Virium Helsinki have together created and piloted digital wayfinding, signage as well as interactive services for a few years now. This blog showcases our work and experiments in this area.
