Vilawatt project

The local government of Viladecans, in Barcelona, set up an energy company based on citizen participation to promote the shift to environmentally friendly power sources and the renovation of homes to make them more energy efficient. In addition, a digital currency was created to reward people for saving energy. The money could be spent at businesses in their area to boost the local economy. The wider goal was to ensure the sustainable use of resources in a socially just community in which citizens play an active role.

Joby Aviation - air taxi

Joby Aviation is a California-headquartered transportation company developing and manufacturing an all-electric, vertical take-off and landing aircraft which they intend to operate as a commercial passenger aircraft beginning in 2024.

The company has spent more than a decade developing and testing  zero-emissions aircraft that will enable a pilot and four passengers to leapfrog over the congestion below on journeys of five to 150 miles, at speeds of up to 200mph.

Volocopter

The Volocopter's aim to become the leading Urban Air Mobility service provider worldwide. With their innovative technology, products, and services they will support cities in sustainably transforming their mobility concepts. Volocopter saves time, is extremely safe, emission-free, and quiet. At Volocopter are developing the complete ecosystem including aircraft, take-off and landing infrastructure, and integration into air traffic management systems. They bring Urban Air Mobility to life.

VoloPort

The integration of flexible take-off and landing infrastructure in megacities is crucial for the success of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and for air taxi operations. In order to advance the development of this infrastructure, they have been working with Skyports, a British vertiport developer and operator, since 2019. They developed the VoloPort, which we will show for the first time publicly in Singapore.

Volocity - autonomous air taxi

The VoloCity will become the first commercially licensed Volocopter, developed according to the high standards and requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Their intensive testing programme has shaped the innovative design and outstanding overall performance of the VoloCity. Quiet, safe, and comfortable, the VoloCity engenders Urban Air Mobility.

EHang's Smart Logistics Ecosystem

Based on big data, EHang's smart logistics ecosystem uses cloud computing and autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) to build the aerial logistics network via air transportation. The difficulties in delivering goods to urban and rural areas, industrial parks and islands will be solved and a more intelligent and convenient shopping environment will thus be created. EHang logistics AAVs will fly along with the pre-programmed route, and complete the  pre-programmed task. There is no need for manual intervention over the course, improving the delivery efficiency.

Perth – Smart City Program

The first step in the rollout of the City of Perth’s new smart city innovation program has been achieved with the award of three tenders. The City was successful in securing a matched funding grant worth $1.3million from the Australian Government, through the Smart Cities and Suburbs Program. This will see ground work commence on technology development and installation of hardware for four projects - Smart Precinct, Smart Irrigation, Smart Sustainability and Data Hub.

Munch.hu is a platform where restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, hotels and other stores can sell their surplus food. The aim of Munch.hu is to fight against food waste. The platform is accessible from the browser and via the phone application. The app is constantly being developed based on feedback to make it as easy to use as possible. Customers can order Munches (packages) that contain surprise food. These packages can be purchased at a 40-70% discount.

Beekeeping in Audi Hungaria

The idea of beekeeping originated from AUDI AG, Audi Hungaria's parent company. In 2015, Audi Hungaria was in the midst of implementing its flora and fauna protection plan thus the beekeeping idea was in line with ongoing developments, and quickly taken up by management. 6 bee colonies with 270,000 bees were installed in September 2015. The bees produce 200-240 kilograms of honey each year, which is branded as Audi Hungaria Premium Honey, and gifted to visitors, as well as purchasable in the gift shop.
