Kaposvár set itself the goal of becoming a green smart city. For reaching their aim, they replaced their complete bus fleet, with 40 CNG-powered buses, which work with biogas produced by the Kaposvár Sugar Factory. They have improved public lighting, more than half of their candelabras working with LED bulbs, they are even able to control their brightness. They provide their wasteful buildings with a building management system - which is essentially a computer that controls consumers and energy use.

The aim of the „Protheus Project” is to build up a sustainable e-mobility system, produce renewable electricity, and store that energy for the use by the city of Paks and the surrounding Municipalities. The projects’ main goal is the creation of a healthier, more energy-efficient and inhabitant friendlier city. The projects are: charger infrasutcutre, driver qualification, e-move ticket and pass, electric bike and roller system, electric buses and cars/taxis, energy distribution, energy storage, home solar cells, Paks card, smart garage, Solar cell park and transporting application.

The town of Forssa is in the middle of the Finnish agricultural landscape, located within a triangle formed by the three largest cities in Finland, and with good transportation connections. The largest national research institute for agriculture and bioeconomy is also located in the Forssa region.

Solar powered smart benches can be found in many Hungarian towns. Strong, powder-coated steel construction is completely weather-resistant and vandal-resistant. Advanced controller inside the bench makes battery charging possible even when the seating area is occupied and PV modules are shaded. The bench comes with two USB ports with ambient light for charging any type of device using USB cable. Wireless charger integrated in acrylic glass cover enables cable-free charging. The smart bench also provides Wi-Fi connection.

Using state-of-the art equipment developed by Prolan Co., the first SMART CITY system in Hungary was implemented in Szank. The system is based on the public lighting network and it covers the whole settlement. It was the first time the company has applied its ECLIPSE SMART CITY system in such a location where the public lighting network is energized continuously 24 hours a day. The Smart City services built on the intelligent public lighting combined with the sensor techniques provide significant improvement of the quaility of life for the residents.

Szatyorbolt is a new age social/community enterprenourship that has a business part operating  based on eco-conscious values and offering shopping alternatives for those who care about environment, ther health and the community. It is a choice of making as less environmental impact as possible and also supporting small scale farming.
Other part is a civil organization, Szatyor Association that provides workshops, trainings about conscious consumption and lifestyle. Also organizes farmers' visits for better understanding of how our food in the countryside produced.

The Szatyor Debrecen is a community-based initiative, which aim is to promote local food which comes from organic and gentle production.
The Debrecen Szatyor Community was launched in the summer of 2012, it was the first time for producers and buyers to meet who not only realized that it would be good to create this special market here after the Budapest Satyor, but were ready to do so! Since then, more and more people have joined the initiative, and by now the community consists of approx. 20 farmers and more than 300 families.

The aim of the foundation is to support local producers and craftsmen in the county of Győr-Moson-Sopron and to promote the benefits of conscious shopping, healthy eating, environmental awareness and direct local producer-consumer relations.

The Local Food Community of Nyíregyháza is a non-governmental initiative working to strengthen and even revitalize the local economy. They welcome real local produce producers as well as customers who are looking to consume with sustainability in mind. They believe that increasing the consumption of local products contributes to strengthen  the local economy and the creation of real jobs. Every remaining penny sooner or later returns, and the local economy is enriched by the community.
 

The Green Basket Community of Miskolc is a conscious producer-consumer community. Their members are committed to an environmentally friendly, sustainable lifestyle.
One of the primary goals of the community is to provide local people with lower environmental impact, healthy, environmentally friendly and handicraft products, build trust and human relationships between producers and consumers, and ensure the livelihoods of the region's reliable producers through their purchases.
