Belfast Urban Childhoods Masterplan

With 35% of Belfast’s population aged 25 or under, Belfast City Council recognised the need to design for the youngest in the population and place them at the heart of city planning. With support from the Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities), and working closely with Belfast City Council, Arup developed a framework and design strategy (Belfast Urban Childhoods Masterplan) that creates a more healthy, inclusive and child-friendly city centre in Belfast. 

3D City Model of Berlin

Nowadays, a semantic 3D city model of the German capital Berlin is freely available to the public as open data in CityGML format, which comprises around 550,000 LoD2 building objects within the whole city area (890 km²). The open data is provided via a web-based service portal through which users can select and download individual building models in a variety of 3D data formats.

Aquastar

Aquastar is Cary's and Morrisville's innovative meter infrastructure system that replaced monthly manual meter reads with a wireless system that collects multiple remote meter reads per day. The Town replaced about 60,000 residential and commercial water meters (including irrigation meters) in Cary and Morrisville with new, state-of-the-art meters.The water meters contain a transmitter that communicates usage and data via wireless technology directly to the Town.

Joby Aviation - air taxi

Joby Aviation is a California-headquartered transportation company developing and manufacturing an all-electric, vertical take-off and landing aircraft which they intend to operate as a commercial passenger aircraft beginning in 2024.

The company has spent more than a decade developing and testing  zero-emissions aircraft that will enable a pilot and four passengers to leapfrog over the congestion below on journeys of five to 150 miles, at speeds of up to 200mph.

Guangzhou – The first urban air mobility pilot city

EHang, the world's leading autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV) technology platform company, announced today that it has selected Guangzhou as its first urban air mobility (UAM) pilot city globally for the establishment of a low-altitude aviation transportation network that shuttles passengers and goods in a safe, fast, environmentally friendly, cost-efficient and intelligent way.

Camera system in Csemő

A camera system was built in the settlement with the help of Invitech, 6 cameras were installed in 5 location. The image of the cameras is stored in a cloud-based data center, which Invitech provides direct access to the police. This solution facilitates extremely fast retrieval and detection.

North Hegyhát Micro-Regional Union

The municipalities, economic parners, institutions and NGOs of the municipalities of Alsómocsolád, Bikal, Mágocs, Mekényes, Nagyhajmás decided in 2014 to work out a joint development program that would enable the synergistic development of the 5 settlements. The North Hegyhát Micro-Regional Union was born from this initiative, which main goal is to establish long-term and well-grounded cooperation between local governments, companies, institutions and organizations within the micro-region. Moreover, the Union intends to create the first "Smart Area" of Hungary.
