Urban Knowledge

Urban-Knowledge is an open platform dedicated to compile an innovative and effective system of methods and techniques for urban expertise through a knowledge platform. The Urban-Knowledge platform wants to strengthen the expertise of the urban professionals and facilitate their learning and development paths by increasing their understanding skills on the applications of existing and innovative urban analysis methods.

City Protocol Society (cities co-operation platform)

The City Protocol is a new open, global, and progressive working framework for cities worldwide to assess and improve performance in environmental sustainability, economic competitiveness, quality of life, and city services, by innovating and demonstrating new leadership models, new ways of engaging society, and by leveraging new information and communication technologies (ICT).

Uraía Platform

The Uraía Platform was created as a space for exchange between local governments and their partners about the possibilities offered with the introduction of SMART technologies to local public management. Uraía facilitates peer-to-peer learning, fosters transfer and adaptation of SMART solutions, and encourages experimentation.

Green digital toolkit

The 'Green Digital toolkit' is designed to provide cities with a central resource to find and share details of city-level green and digital activities and related tools. The tools listed are publicly available. Cities who have signed the Green Digital Charter can - share details of green and digital tools and activities from their own city - rate and comment on tools - collect tools into a ‘My Favourites’ section, - review their activities in relation to the Green Digital Charter and the Covenant of Mayors - post related questions and requests.

MOTI (Mayor's Office of Technology and Innovation – New York City)

The Mayor's Office of Technology and Innovation is led by New York City's first-ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Minerva Tantoco, who was appointed by Mayor de Blasio to drive citywide technology strategy. Under her leadership, the office facilitates citywide coordination and collaboration on technology issues, serves as a catalyst for and advises agencies on innovation, and interacts with the wider New York City technology ecosystem. The office's mission is to fulfill Mayor de Blasio's vision of making NYC the most innovative, tech-friendly, and equitable big city in the world.

Amsterdam Smart City

Amsterdam Smart City (ASC) is the innovation platform of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area which is constantly challenging businesses, residents, the municipality and knowledge institutions to test innovative ideas & solutions for urban issues. This contributes to the liveability of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, promotes sustainable economic growth and helps develop new markets. ASC believes in a liveable city where people can live and work pleasantly. We are active in six different themes in which we bring together different organisations to start innovative projects together.

Budget Monitoring

Budget Monitoring is a method that facilitates citizens to screen, assess, and actively participate in the decisions on public policy-making and government expenditure. It offers citizens the power, knowledge, and self-belief to take action for the right to live in better environments. The Center for Budgetmonitoring binds diverse community-led organizations, allowing valuable encounters among them as well as dialogue between citizens, organizations, and the government in mapping out problems and their solutions.

Civocracy (participatory democracy platform)

Civocracy makes it easy for citizens to learn more about an issue and to express their views. Civocracy shows the best arguments and relevant news, and also gives an overview of all the ways you can be actively involved, such as attending a town hall meeting or signing up as a volunteer. This way, the connection is made between online and offline engagement. Civocracy also creates impact by inviting all key stakeholders to contribute to the discussion. This leads to relevant high-quality comments.
