HomeBiogas is an off-grid system that generates clean energy without any electricity AND allows you to properly treat your household waste! The system produces up to 2 hours of cooking gas every day solely from your food scraps or animal waste. HomeBiogas needs sunlight in order to produce biogas. Bacteria thrive on warmth! You can activate HomeBiogas one of two ways. The most effective method is to use animal manure (specifically any animal that chews its cud i.e. cow, deer,camels, buffalo, goats and sheep). If you don’t have access to animal manure, biogas bacteria starter kits can easily be acquired. Once you have activated your system and have a healthy colony of bacteria growing in the digester, its time to start feeding the system. Toss your food scraps and/or animal waste into the system and generate up to 2 hours of cooking gas and fertilizer daily.
