Nature4Cities project

The Nature4Cities project aims to develop a scientific and technical database and operational tool for the effectiveness of Nature Based Solutions applied in a framework which considers a holistic approach and, which integrates multiple stakeholders.
It intents to produce knowledges and to empower urban projects stakeholders (involved in urban planning/design/management intervention) to take decision. It addresses to scientists, urban decision makers, practitioners and citizens.
Nature4Cities project is based on:

Environment Control Centre

The system works by sending data received from GPS satellites and mounted sensors on the vehicles to the center through GSM/GPRS; monitoring, controlling/auditing and management are made according to transiently updated map. By knowing all these data, the following problems can be solved:
Risk reduction of traffic accidents by controlling speed and route violations,
Prevention environment pollution,
Monitorization and management of waste logistics,

Clarity

Clarity is a team of passionate engineers and scientists focused on making a positive impact in the world by tackling the global air pollution crisis. They leverage their expertise in air sensing technology, IoT devices, and data analytics to create solutions that empower communities to make informed decisions and improve quality of life. At the core of their technology are the next‑generation air quality monitors - the Clarity Node and Node-S. Hundreds to thousands of devices work together to form a scalable network of high density air quality measurement points.

U-Car

In addition to the existing YouBike public bike and U-Motor electric scooter sharing, Taipei City Government will start U-Car electric car sharing system to provide a more efficient transportation option.
The existing U-Car can reach maximum speed of 250km/hour. Considering the traffic need of longer distance between cities, Taipei City Government will cooperate with Keelung, Taoyuan and Hsinchu and other neighboring cities.

Győr-Szol district heating

During the successful cooperation, Antenna Hungária and their LoRa network were used for remote reading of the heat meters of 40 heat stations in a Győr-Szol service circle. The main benefits of a cost-effective solution are an 8-10 year battery life and the distance, automatic reading of measurement data, possible from closed, windowless spaces as well.
