In addition to the existing YouBike public bike and U-Motor electric scooter sharing, Taipei City Government will start U-Car electric car sharing system to provide a more efficient transportation option.
The existing U-Car can reach maximum speed of 250km/hour. Considering the traffic need of longer distance between cities, Taipei City Government will cooperate with Keelung, Taoyuan and Hsinchu and other neighboring cities.
In order to encouraging the use of U-Car, before the number of licensed U-Car reaches 1,000, users can get free battery charge in public car parks (only charge the parking fee).
