Trabaja: to explore professional career opportunities in Barcelona. Investiga: to develop research activities in Barcelona. Estudia: to take master or postgraduate studies in Barcelona. Instálate: support to settle in the city and look for accommodation and schools.

Bilbao Ekintza – development agency

In the city of Bilbao, support for entrepreneurs is channelled through the Local Development Agency. Some initiatives developed are: Day of the Entrepreneur. A yearly event of an informative, fun and social nature that recognises and rewards the work of entrepreneurs in Bilbao.  Learning become an entrepreneur. Programme aimed at schools in Bilbao to encourage entrepreneurship among younger people. This project proposes to find an idea and develop a business plan. AirCasting (community air quality measure)

AirCasting is an open-source, end-to-end solution for collecting, displaying, and sharing health and environmental data using your smartphone. The platform consists of wearable sensors that detect changes in your environment and physiology, including a palm-sized air quality monitor called the AirBeam, the AirCasting Android app, the AirCasting website, and wearable LED accessories. By documenting and leveraging health and environmental data to inform personal decision-making and public policy, the AirCasting platform empowers citizen scientists and changemakers.

Air Quality Egg (community air quality measure)

Air Quality Egg is an open-source initiative that enables citizens to measure environmental conditions where they live. The project, a collaborative effort between designers, scientists, and citizens, grew out of workshops in New York City, Amsterdam, and London. From those conversations emerged an online wiki, the Google Group Air Quality Egg, and a community-prototyped Air Quality Egg system which consists of an outdoor sensor and an egg-shaped base station that wirelessly receives air quality data and has a visual display with real-time data updates.

Startup Eindhoven

FloodCom (flood control simulation board game)

The serious game "Flood Control" is used by FloodCom for training and workshops to improve the communication- and disaster management during an (imminent) flood. The current version of the game is focused on Rotterdam and surroundings. The goal of the game is to help regional government bodies communicate better, let them practice in taking decisions under stress and based on conflicting information. With the use of "events" a disaster scenario develops during the game to which the players need to respond.
