SmarTaxi (taxi service application)

SmarTaxi is an application to improve the network operation forecasting the taxi demand around the city. It shows with a heat-map where the demand is in real-time, the amount of waiting time for each taxi stops and also shows a graph of the next 24h with the best hours to work in order to allow the taxi driver to make a better schedule. It will reduce the amount of kilometers drove looking for clients, what means a reduction of the traffic and the resultant pollution.

Rekola (bicycle sharing system)

‘Rekola’ (could be translated as rebike) is a community bikesharing. It’s a very recent project which started in April 2014 and initiated by two young men from association Rekola.cz. They are using old bicycles which are repaired and painted in pink. It’s for everyone, without any bike stands, just find a bike in one of four Czech cities – Prague, Brno, Olomouc and Pardubice – and go! How does it work? Every rider has a mobile phone application where he or she can see the availability of pink bikes near their surroundings.

Intelligent highway

A lot has been written about intelligent highways since the eighties. However, until now the focus of innovation was on the car. Heijmans and Studio Roosegaarde tackle this issue on a large scale by innovating the road deck with designs such as ‘Glow-in-the-dark Lining’, ‘Dynamic Paint’, ‘Interactive Light’ and ‘Electric Priority Lane’. Together they want to make the road sustainable and interactive through means of smart lighting, harvesting energy, and traffic signs that adapt to the road situation.

E-mobility E.ON

E.ON as the largest domestic energy supplier grants a complete package of services providing all the benefits of e-mobility for consumers. Not only sells chargers but carries out the execution, ensures continuous operation and supplies electricity. In Hungary so far 16 public charges installed based on its own funds and further 4 fast charge points is currently taking place in Szolnok, Debrecen, Győr and Kaposvár. They are member of the Ányos Jedlik Cluster and they support all major organization which operates in this field.

E-car Operation Center

The Operation Center has three functional modules, one for managing the charging stations, one for managing customers contracts and the last one to manage the recharges in a smart way, according to the power grid status or to the real time price of energy.

Digital Road Authority - IJburg (local transport management)

The Digital Road Authority combines different types of traffic data in order to provide the residents of IJburg with personalised travel advice. Residents receive advice through an app, based on appointments in their phone’s calendar, their destination and the current situation at the traffic lights. The Digital Road Authority is not only in contact with departing travellers, but also with the traffic lights. It divides personal ‘travel slots’ based on current and expected traffic density.
