Hanham Hall Hub (sustainable smart residential area)

Hanham Hall is the first site to be delivered under the government’s Carbon Challenge initiative and delivers 185 innovative new homes with integrated sustainable living and environmental considerations. The specially commissioned post-occupancy website enables a direct line of communication between residents and the housing management company, as well as within the community itself.

Songdo International Business District

New smart city or "ubiquitous city" built from scratch on 600 hectares of reclaimed land along Incheon's waterfront, 65 kilometres southwest of Seoul Embodies two avant-garde concepts: (1) the Aerotropolis, and (2) the Ubiquitous City (U-City). The largest private real estate development in the world’s history Songdo’s urban model bears several distinct features: its ubiquitous computing allows it to micro-manage numerous aspects of the city such as energy consumption and traffic; and the city can "interact" with citizens at the individual level.

Urban Green Belts project

The Urban Green Belts project is co-financed by the European Union as part of its Interreg Central Europe 2014-2020 Program. UGP aims to improve capacities in the public sector for planning, management and decision making related to urban green areas. To achieve this, integrated management models for sustainable maintenance of urban green areas are developed and tested based on international good practices.

Plant Candelabra

The latest Hungarian Green City project uses recycled materials to create an innovative solution for problematic downtown public spaces where planting trees is not possible due to pavements and underground infrastructure. The Plant Post was developed in collaboration with the management of Budapest's Terézváros district.

Zuidoost Living Lab

The Amsterdam district of Zuidoost (Southeast) is 22 km2 and is home to approximately 80,000 residents. Zuidoost is a remarkably green neighbourhood with the massive lake Gaasperplas and its surrounding forest as its centrepiece. There are also many other parks, sport parks, private garden allotments and a golf course. The urban core is centred on the Ajax ArenA football stadium, Amsterdam Poort and the newly-built Bijlmer train station which together has developed into a major shopping and entertainment zone complete with cinemas and concert halls.

Eco Friendly Playground of Margaret Island

The first playground in Hungary that is specifically aimed at environmental education and sustainability was installed at Margitsziget, Budapest. The eco-playground is also the first to achieve approved rating in the Green city Sustainability Accreditation System and is officially accredited. The concept of the eco-playground reflects the idea of environmentally conscious lifestyle, while also respecting usability and maintenance conditions, and the fact that the playground is built in one of the most intensively used public park of the capital, with an expected high stress load.

Nieuw-West Living Lab

The district of Nieuw-West is a solid demographical representation of Amsterdam and an area with high energy consumption. Notably, however, the area is home to the first district-level Smart Grid in the Netherlands. Amsterdam Smart City partner Liander has invested significantly in this technology in recent years. The Smart Grid in Nieuw-West serves as the ideal backbone to realise new renewable energy sources, with decentralised energy generation taking the lead role.

E-mobility ELMŰ-ÉMÁSZ

The paramount task of ELMŰ-ÉMÁSZ company group is to propagate sustainable transport to the widest audience possible. Currently we are market leader as the operator of 65 electric vehicle smart charging points equipped with European standard Type-2 outlets. It is currently the largest charging network infrastructure in Hungary. As the Hungarian leader in electromobility, our company group has from 2010 been actively engaged in fostering environmentally friendly driving.

Solar Roadways

Solar Roadways® (SR) is a modular system of specially engineered solar panels that can be walked and driven upon. Our panels contain LED lights to create lines and signage without paint. They contain heating elements to prevent snow and ice accumulation. The panels have microprocessors, which makes them intelligent. This allows the panels to communicate with each other, a central control station, and vehicles. Many people are surprised to learn that our panels are made of glass… but not ordinary glass.
