Smart Grid Pilot Project

Tha goal of KOM Central Smart Metering Ltd. is to harmonize the initiations of smart metering, smart grids, to support establishing synergies and competencies between the different industrial fields, to promote professional development in this topic.
In co-operation with the project association thousands of households will be provided by smart meters enabling both the consumers and the grid operators to obtain valuable information.

South Saad Al-Abdullah New Town in Kuwait

In designing the city of the future, why not start building one from scratch, instead of dealing with the legacy of an ‘unsmart city’. And why not copy a smart city that is already in operation successfully. That is what Kuwait thought when it hired a South Korean consortium to build Kuwaits newest smart city from scratch. A four billion dollar project. The name of the city will be South Saad Al-Abdullah and will provide accommodations for between 25,000 — 40,000 families.

Smart apartment building

The Project will provide a new, multi-utility measuring system for selected buildings owned by the Capital of Prague. The system will provide complete and continuous measurements of the used energies, thus creating conditions for a flawless consumption monitoring of all energies in the given building. The customers will thus be able to always monitor their respective consumption on the web portal of PREměření.

Győr-Szol district heating

During the successful cooperation, Antenna Hungária and their LoRa network were used for remote reading of the heat meters of 40 heat stations in a Győr-Szol service circle. The main benefits of a cost-effective solution are an 8-10 year battery life and the distance, automatic reading of measurement data, possible from closed, windowless spaces as well.

HiT - Buildings as interactive smart grid participants

HiT is a Smart Grid housing project located in the City of Salzburg. The abbreviation HiT stands for "Häuser als interaktive Teilnehmer im Smart Grid” ("Buildings as interactive smart grid participants”) and refers to the smart integration of houses into the energy grid. It seeks to deploy and investigate a broad range of Smart Grid technologies within a housing complex. The project is trying to find the optimal interaction between a smart home in a smart complex and its inhabitants.

Bulgarian Green Building Council

The Bulgarian Green Building Council (BGBC) is a non-profit organization with a mission to transform the built environment by changing the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated. As a member of a world-wide network of organizations, we work together to build awareness in the public sector, build capacity through professional education, engage business to measure sustainability in the supply chain and product manufacturing, and aid government in developing sustainable policies.

Amazon Workplace Rainforest

Amazon opened a rainforest-like office space in Seattle that it hopes will spark new ideas for employees. Company office towers and high-end eateries have taken the place of warehouses and parking lots in Seattle’s South Lake Union district. The Spheres complex, officially open to workers on Tuesday, is the pinnacle of a decade of development here. The Spheres’ three glass domes house some 40,000 plants of 400 species. Amazon, famous for its demanding work culture, hopes the Spheres’ lush environs will let employees reflect and have chance encounters, spawning new products or plans.

Aspern Vienna

Until the year 2028 an entirely new part of the city is being built in the 22nd district. Among others the project incorporates housing and office spaces for respectively 20,000 people. The integrated design of public space is the backbone of forward-looking urban development. “aspern Vienna’s Urban Lakeside” is a project of new dimensions. The 240-hectare project area makes it one of Europe’s largest urban developments, it is a city within the city. Quality of life and cooperation rank at the top of the agenda.

Energy Dash

The Energy Dash expands our suite of glanceable devices with supplemental functionality. In addition to serving as a tool for utility companies to relay information to customers about energy consumption and demand, the Zigbee enabled Energy Dash also provides customers with real time indoor temperature and the option of displaying both individual home and neighborhood level comparative billing data.

Energy Orb

The Energy Orb is a frosted glass ball that provides real-time data about energy consumption, enabling customers to modify their energy usage when it matters most. The simple display communicates changes in pricing and demand by glowing a varying degree of colors; when the device glows green, demand and pricing is low, while glowing red indicates that demand and pricing is high. The Energy Orb receives signals over the Ambient Information Network, a service delivery infrastructure and wireless network.
