The Regent Street Delivery Consolidation Scheme has reduced delivery trips by 74 per cent, CO2 by 10 tonnes per annum, and improved air quality and reduced noise on this busy street. Since its implementation, there has been an 80 per cent reduction in lorry movements associated with Regent Street. The Swallow Street Refuse Scheme has reduced refuse lorry movements by 75 per cent and increased recycling rates to over 70 per cent. The Preferred Supplier Scheme reduces office deliveries of frequently ordered commodities by negotiating economical prices with preferred suppliers, all delivered using zero emission vehicles.
