E.ON, in cooperation with the network service provider, has installed SMART-ready luminaires with LED technology in Balatonakaranya, which can be controlled through an innovative public lighting management system (CMS). The project was shipped with the replacement of LED lighting produced by GE Lighting and the introduction of intelligent control.
For the whole settlement, this is the first time in Hungary and at European level that the modernization of public lighting has been implemented.
With public lighting control, each of the upgraded luminaires can be independently controlled for its luminous flux and on / off, power consumption, lamp functions and network / environmental data. Each luminaire is a single system equipped with an antenna, capable of communicating with one another and with central control.
Considering the needs of the municipality, the public lighting control system is also suitable for receiving additional data from different sensors. This means that traffic, pollution and other data that can be extracted through the system and it can help urban development for the comfort, quality of life and health of the population.
