Online bins

Massachusetts-based waste managment company BigBelly and the City of New York City implemented in downtown Manhattan connected bins equipped with chips telling trash collectors once the bin is full. They now are about to be turned into Wi-Fi hotspots. With a high bandwidth, the signal emitted is excellent since the bins are located on street level and thus, don’t receive any interference from skyscrapers.

New York City – Hudson Yards

The project, a $20 billion, 28-acre commercial and residential area on Manhattan’s west side, is touted as being the largest development in the city since the Rockefeller center. Hudson Yards will digitally track environmental and lifestyle factors—like traffic, energy consumption, and air quality—and will include a trash-disposal system to remove waste via underground pneumatic tubes. It is being designed specifically to bring in millennials, and to provide the highest quality of life for those living, working, and visiting the area.

Sanya Skypump (E-car service station)

AngyalZÖLD

The 'AngyalZÖLD+ 2015-2019' strategy is the extension of the previous Green Strategy of the XIII. District Government in Budapest which deals with the integrated approach and management of district public areas. The strategy and its implementation are deal with by the XIII. District Public Utility Zrt.

Smart Lamppost

The first intelligent lamppost developed in Hungary combines five systems and functions. Based on the infarstructure of ELMÜ-ÉMÁSZ, the smart electric car charger has an output of 22 kWs (3x32 A), and is compatible with the e-kWh application of the company. Importantly, this is the first time in Hungary when an electric car charger is built into an existing lamppost, available to e-drivers 24 hours a day. The unit includes free WiFi connection serving up to 200 users in a 180m range area. The safety camera installed on the post is the 50.

Greengo

GreenGo is a car sharing service that is used through a mobile app. The service started with 45 electric cars in Budapest that users can reserve using their smartphones. Pickup and dropoff can happen in a designated zone but cars can be used outside the zone, too. Cars can be used 24 hours a day, until they need recharge. Payments are automatic or card based after use, with minute-based pricing.

Community Gardening

Since 2010 KÉK has been engaged in settling community and urban gardening which looks back worldwide on many decades of tradition. Urban gardening organizes people with different ages and backgrounds in community who can use the acquired knowledge in the other fields of  life. The gardens beside the its community building strength and function provide the citizens with fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. The aim of KÉK is to assist in the development of the urban gardening movement with sample garden design and with establishing a comprehensive knowledge base.

Bubi

The MOL Bubi bike-sharing scheme is a new public transport option in Budapest. The apple-green bikes can be hired from and returned to any docking station found at major transport hubs in the city centre. This new mode of public transport combines the freedom of individual mobility with the reliability of fixed-rail transport. So far 1,150 bikes can be hired from 99 docking stations in the centre of Budapest. Each station features a terminal, some of which are equipped with touch screens and bankcard-readers. Docking points serve the purpose of securely placing the bikes.

MOL Limo car sharing

MOL Limo is a car rental service, when in our case, after following the registration you can book a car thorugh an app 0-24 during the day. Service area is in the Inner districts of Budapest in Limo zone. They had 300 vehicles at the time of the launch. The number of cars available in a very moment can differ from this, as cars already booked won't show in the app. At the moment, they offer 100 Volkswagen eUp!s (these are the electric ones) and 200 gas-powered Volkswagen Up!s cars.
