Development of the village of Baksa

Baksa is a village in Baranya County lived by 860 people. The Municipality actively works on boosting the village and its facilities.
In order of safe transport a traffic slower lane and surveillance cameras were installed. At several points in the village, there is a different surveillance system, for example in the center of a large intersection.

CityApp - Kecskemét

CityApp is a mobile application that helps users get to know news, institutions, sports facilities, restaurants, shops and local business services of Kecskemét all in one place. The application is free to download for anyone, and even stores and businesses can upload their services for free. After logging in, they can select a category that fits their business and upload data, so it can be easily reachable for the users. 

CityApp - Tiszaújváros

The municipality of Tiszaújváros gives high priority to "Smart City" program, which contains several elements. For their implementation, many improvements have already been made, including the pilot installation of a smart crosswalk, a free electric car charging station and the installation of a green energy-efficient smart bench for cell phones, tablets, and free WiFi access. In the "Smart Life" program segment, an up-to-date application, CityApp, has been created to inform locals and visitors of  the city.

Baracs - Public safety system (Helpynet)

The village of Baracs using Helpynet application for smartphones. The HelpyNet is an emergency and call-in service: an app to keep in touch, so users can get or give information, as well as provide help. The alert and assistance system is available to the public free of charge and co-ordinates the work of the active organizations of the settlement. Its flexibility makes it easy to fit into existing public security systems.

Zalaegerszeg - smart waste collection containers

Smart waste collection containers were installed in Zalaegerszeg as part of the Interreg Hungary-Croatia Cross-border Program. Many investments have already been made in the smart city program. Among other things, new electric charging stations have been developed, a waste management facility has been built and the Smart City mobile application is being tested. These containers are similar to conventional selective waste bins. They differ in that their sensors signal when they are full and notify the service company.

Smart Public Lighting in Szank

Using state-of-the art equipment developed by Prolan Co., the first SMART CITY system in Hungary was implemented in Szank. The system is based on the public lighting network and it covers the whole settlement. It was the first time the company has applied its ECLIPSE SMART CITY system in such a location where the public lighting network is energized continuously 24 hours a day. The Smart City services built on the intelligent public lighting combined with the sensor techniques provide significant improvement of the quaility of life for the residents.

Megyer, the village for rent

The mayor of Megyer (the smallest village in Hungary) had an innovative idea to save the village from disappearing by renting the„whole” village for about 670 EUR/day, one can get control over 7 guesthouses, the town hall, the local stables, the animals, a classroom, a canteen, the farmlands.The tenant can also become deputy mayor and rename the streets. Runs as a cooperative(the owners of the cottages as members) and giving job to 8 more people.

Smart puclic lighting system - Balatonakarattya

E.ON, in cooperation with the network service provider, has installed SMART-ready luminaires with LED technology in Balatonakaranya, which can be controlled through an innovative public lighting management system (CMS). The project was shipped with the replacement of LED lighting produced by GE Lighting and the introduction of intelligent control.
For the whole settlement, this is the first time in Hungary and at European level that the modernization of public lighting has been implemented.
