Car sharing seems like a simple enough idea, but there's a reason that Zipcar has become the leader for cars on demand—we took a simple concept to new heights. It's not just about fewer cars, less congestion and less pollution (though we're not complaining), it's about understanding why those things are a problem, and finding sustainable solutions. We're idea people acknowledging that this is something bigger than all of us, something that can take over the world (literally) if we're smart about it. And it's not just a theory.

It is currently present in 16 European cities with nearly 14,000 cars, 3,550 of which are fully electric. Streetline’s patented Smart Parking platform detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors that provide real-time status of every parking space — at curbside, in lots and in garages With access to real-time information and historical analytics, cities are provided with key insight into their parking ecosystem. Cities are enabled to make more informed parking policy decisions, and also can implement demand-shifting mechanisms such as demand-based pricing.

The results show that mostly names of animals are preferred, such as oyster, octopus or hummingbird, but also precious stones, fruits and playful names are used.
