Kalasatama Smart City district of Helsinki is an experimental innovation platform to co-create smart urban infrastructure and services. This centrally located old harbour area is developed flexibly and through piloting, in close co-operation with residents, companies, city officials and other stakeholders. The vision of Kalasatama is to become so resource-wise that residents will gain an extra hour of own time every day.

The Startup Roundtable has been organized in 2015. The Startup Roundtable has a simple goal: change the point of view of the local entrepreneur community. The first pilot for this project is Smart Work@IJburg. Every day several kilometers of traffic jams block the entrances and exits to the island. This makes IJburg a very suitable location to get people out of their cars. Amsterdam Smart City is therefore aiming at a Smart Work Center near the homes of the employees that are normally stuck in these traffic jams. ASC wants to make it as easy as possible. No hassle with payments for the employees. This is why a payment system is currently being developed.

TPEX - TelePresence Exchange International: To operate TelePresence Conference Centers (meeting rooms, boardrooms or classrooms ) in Amsterdam and environs, connected to a worldwide network of international conference centers. The aim of TPEX is to create an international network of multiple TelePresence Conferencing Centers worldwide and make them highly accessible for a broad business public.

This is a support fund for micro, small and medium enterprises, which generally aims to promote economic development through the provision of temporary support to projects that favour the creation, development, consolidation, viability, productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small and medium enterprises and to enterprising initiatives, as well as to those that promote productive investments that will generate more and better jobs, more and better micro, small and medium enterprises, andmore and better entrepreneurs.

In the city of Barcelona, the creation of new companies is channelled through Barcelona Activa, Bacelona's Local Development Agency. Since its inception in 1986, almost 7,000 companies have been established. The programmes developed and dedicated to entrepreneurship are: Programme "Entrepreneurship with Barcelona Activa is easy".
