The Santa Claus Factory has become one of Hungary's best-known charity events.


Every year, more and more people volunteer. Many come to Hungary specifically for the Santa Claus Factory during the Christmas period. People from Australia, China, the USA and many other European countries come to help and pack.

Türchen calendar

Türchen is an individual countdown calendar. The users can create it theyself, fill it with their own content and share it with friends. Initially it was created as an advent calendar. As we don’t just wait for Christmas Eve, but also feverishly look forward to birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, the users can use the Türchen calendar for every countdown opportunity.

OOTT - smart home

OOT Technologies Ltd. (OOTT) is a company dealing with the manufacturing of smart home hubs and the installation of home automation systems. Its smart home solutions enable customers to save energy and costs and make their homes more comfortable and safer. The wireless OOTT system offers compatibility with several smart home tools including Apple Homekit, Google Home and Alexa systems, too. The OOTT system is controllable through mobile apps, even with voice commands.

Airly - sensor-based air quality monitoring

Airly provides the most advanced air quality monitoring. It is a complete, fully integrated system - from hardware to software. Through sensors, it is possible to collect, process and interpret data in real time. Airly sensors measure key components of air pollution, i.e. particulate matter and gases as well as temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The solution is implemented by cities as one of the Smart City technologies.

Child Friendly Smart Cities - India

The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA, India), has undertaken an initiative in partnership with the Bernard van Leer Foundation (BvLF) to build Child Friendly Smart Cities (CFSC) in India within the urban agenda of building smart cities. The goal of this initiative is to mainstream the needs of children in the urban policy and planning framework of Indian cities under key theme areas - public health, safety and security, transport and mobility and living conditions through programme of activities focused on advocacy and interventions in urban areas.

Belfast Urban Childhoods Masterplan

With 35% of Belfast’s population aged 25 or under, Belfast City Council recognised the need to design for the youngest in the population and place them at the heart of city planning. With support from the Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities), and working closely with Belfast City Council, Arup developed a framework and design strategy (Belfast Urban Childhoods Masterplan) that creates a more healthy, inclusive and child-friendly city centre in Belfast. 

High Line Park (New York)

As the project lead, James Corner Field Operations led the design and construction of the High Line - originally a 1.5-mile-long elevated rail structure on Manhattan’s West Side. Restored to the public as a "green corridor", the park's attraction is provided by its spectacular views of Manhattan and the Hudson River, as well as temporary exhibitions, outdoor installations and events.

Zadar sea organ

The town of Zadar, on the Dalmatian Adriatic coast, is known by its inhabitants as the "stone vessel", as it occupies a small elongated peninsula. In 2004, in view of the increasing tourist activity in Croatia, the Zadar Port Authority, with the support of the Municipality of Zadar, decided to renovate this stretch of the coast and turn it into a pier.

This task highlighted the need to create a promenade linking the town with the coast and the pier, the main attraction of it was the 72 m long sea organ integrated into the pavement.
