Between 2014 and 2017 district of Croydon examines and evaluates the effectiveness and ROI of the state and municipal services. They examine how they can reduce the costs in the process to increase the security of supply by digitization and make certain services available online and to provide more flexible access to services improving the standard of satisfaction among the population.  To this end the government has launched a pilot project in three main objectives: to provide infrastructure to Croydon to become the center of technology branch of business; to develop digital services in order to reduce the cost of government services; to apply new technologies to increase the quality and efficiency in services, which results in long-term cost savings.  Five pilot projects have been launched to present how they can apply more intuitive, customer-focused approach and aims better use of available resources. If it is successfull the municipality will make further digitization of government services.
